2025 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee: Scientific Report Meeting

The 2025 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee (Committee) held its seventh meeting October 21-22, 2024.

Meeting Description:

The Committee reviewed and discussed the scientific findings and draft advice it plans to include in its Scientific Report. Each subcommittee and working group reviewed and shared their advice for Committee discussion. Following this meeting, the Committee will finalize and submit its Scientific Report to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Once the Departments receive the Scientific Report, it will be prepared for posting to DietaryGuidelines.gov along with all supporting documents including data analysis, food pattern modeling, and systematic review reports. Once the report is posted, the public will be invited to submit comments that will be used to inform the next edition of the Dietary Guidelines.

Continuing Professional Education Credits:

This event has been submitted for prior approval with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. If approved, Registered Dietitians (RD), Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN), Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTR), and Nutrition and Dietetics Technicians, Registered (NDTR) may obtain 1 Continuing Professional Education credit (CPEs) for each hour they view the live event with a maximum of 10 hours available.
