The 2020 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee will hold its third meeting October 24-25, 2019, in Washington, DC. The meeting will include presentations by each Subcommittee, deliberation by the full Committee, and planning for future Committee work.

USDA and HHS encourage individuals to register to attend the meeting either in-person or by webcast. Please note in-person registration will close at 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, October 18, 2019. Due to building security, only individuals who registered to attend in-person will be on the security list to access the building. In-person seating is provided on a first come basis. This meeting will be videotaped and posted to our website after the meeting. Please allow at least one month for this to occur. 

Webcast registration will remain open throughout the public meeting. Additional information on how to attend the meeting and/or view the webcast will be provided after you register.

Description:
The first day of the meeting will include a presentation on the Nutrition Evidence Systematic Review (NESR) process the Committee is using to review the evidence for questions that will be answered using systematic reviews. Both meeting days will include presentations outlining progress and approaches for the scientific reviews from the six topic area subcommittees: Dietary Patterns; Pregnancy and Lactation; Birth to 24 Months; Beverages and Added Sugars; Dietary Fats and Seafood; and Frequency of Eating; and the cross-cutting working group: Data Analysis and Food Pattern Modeling. Throughout the meeting, the Committee will review the work since the last public meeting and plan for future Committee work.
